It’s that time of year: yes, the holidays, but more importantly, Gift Guide Time. Everybody’s doing it, so I’m joining in on the fun. This one sports a few standard food-oriented gifts — good olive oil, fancy fish products — but I’ve otherwise tried to take a slightly more practical slant on it, in case you have a true food nerd in your life. These are all things I like and use frequently in the kitchen. Some are big purchases, others are stocking stuffers; all have the AT seal of approval. (The seal is a Dijon mustard stain.)

And not to worry, there is still a mini recipe afterwards. During the winter months, there are few things I enjoy more than a mug of amaro caldo (in other words, hot amaro).
